Located on the top of a hill overlooking beautiful Hudson River and its valley, The Thayer Hotel is a true gem. This New York Hotel was built in West Point in 1926 as accommodation for US Military Academy personal and guests. The impressive Gothic style hotel is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Over the past few years, it was extensively renovated and is now the only full service hotel on the Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge to Albany. With its spectacular views, The Thayer Hotel is a popular location for weddings, meetings, and fine dining.
One hundred and fifty-one elegant and genuine guest rooms and suites are offered for our guests to choose from. This hotel features presidential suites, junior suites, a bridal suite, deluxe guest rooms and rooms with two double beds. If you choose to stay in one of our Presidential Suites, you will stay at the same type of room as presidents, foreign dignitaries and celebrities before you. All our accommodations have great views overlooking Hudson River or its valley and provide great amenities such as queen or king size beds, heat lamps, large workable desks with data port, phone and Internet access, voice mail messaging service, cable television and room service. The Hotel also features concierge service and a fitness center.
The Thayer Hotel also offers 10 meeting rooms for groups between 10 – 300 people for corporate retreats, seminars and business meetings. The meeting rooms are very well prepared with audio/video services and other amenities to make your event perfect.
