What We Do:

Come experience the wilderness at Shepp Ranch. We are a wonderful guest ranch in Idaho, perfect for your next Idaho family adventure vacation! An excellent location next to the Salmon River and in the Gospel Hump Wilderness area, we are remote and secluded, offering total ranch and wildlife immersion. Guests can choose to fly in by light aircraft, or we pick them up ourselves and take a scenic jetboat ride down the river to the lodge. Accommodations include private cabins, each with queen or double beds, and bunk beds for kids. Each cabin has its own private bath, wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, couches, and either a refrigerator or a cooler. Fall asleep next to the sounds of a rushing river after a day of adventuring!

Activities at the Shepp Ranch vary widely and there is something to please any tastes! Guests can stay close to home when they wish, reading a book from our lodge library, playing board or card games in from our game selection, or going outside for a game of horseshoes, volleyball, or archery and target shooting. The river offers excellent swimming, rafting, and we also offer prime guided fly-fishing tours! Guests may also with to try out our horseback riding, or go for scenic hike and view the abundance of wildlife in the area. Come during hunting season and experience great hunting in the wilderness. We also have an outdoor hot tub for guest use to relax and recount your adventures to each other before settling in for the night. Each day, three healthy and family-style meals are served, and coffee and refreshments are available throughout the day upon request.
