What We Do:

The Mansion Inn Bed and Breakfast is one of the most charming Connecticut bed and breakfasts. Come and relax in our historical New England country inn, complete with large, comfortable guest rooms and wonderful amenities. Guests can enjoy thousands of books kept all over the property on antique and modern bookshelves, and indulge in the privacy and antique décor of their private guest rooms. Each guest room comes equipped with luxurious beds, private bathrooms, working fireplaces, and cable TV/VCR sets. Our inn is a non-smoking and pet-free inn, and children 13 and over are welcome.

Once a old family home for the Cheney family, the inn was first used as a mansion home for these famous Connecticut silk barons, and is one of the oldest bed and breakfasts Connecticut has to offer. In fact, The Mansion Inn Bed and Breakfast is the distinguished recipient of the first Manchester Cheney Brothers Historic District Preservation Award.

Located just 15 minutes from Hartford, CT, the inn is centrally located for many exciting and interesting New England attractions. From Rentschler Field to The University of Connecticut and Manchester Community College, guests are sure to find something to peak their interest while visiting our area. The Buckland Hills Mall and many museums, flea markets, and historical landmarks are also nearby. For the more adventurous, an outdoor ice skating rink and Manchester Country Club and Golf Course (as well as public 18-hole golf courses) offer many opportunities to stay active on vacation.

Breakfast is served every morning either in the garden or in the dining room’s large antique table. Guests will enjoy delicious recipes prepared with fresh herbs and vegetables from the inn’s own garden. The innkeepers are blue ribbon bakers whose homemade breads, cakes, and jams have won prizes at county fairs statewide.
