What We Do:

The elegant Victorian-style Chelsea House Pool & Garden is one of six hotels of the Historic Key West Inns in Key West, Florida and situated in the “Old Town” of the island. The property features two grand mansions from 1888 and 1906 amidst an acre of tropical gardens. It is the ideal location whether you seek the sun or the solitude. Key West Island is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the Florida Keys Island chain to the east, and the harbor to the west.

This beautiful inn features 33 non-smoking rooms and suites with mostly one bed, either a queen size or a king size bed, and amenities like private bathroom with shower, cable TV, telephone and air conditioning. Two Junior Suites are also offered for more space and a kitchenette. There are also several guest rooms with two queen size beds if friends travel together. In the courtyard, free wireless access is also available. The hotel is AAA Diamond approved. Chelsea House offers a large heated pool, several lounging areas, pet friendly rooms, continental breakfast, free parking and a beautiful tropical garden, just two blocks away from famous Duval Street with its restaurants, galleries, nightlife and attractions.

Pets have a long tradition in the Chelsea House that was named after a cat in the seventies. A few of our guestrooms are pet-friendly and allow guests to stay with their pet. Please note that arrangements need to be made in advance to ensure that pet-friendly rooms are available.

There are many attractions on Key West Island. Events like regattas and festivals take place year round except for the Hurricane Season from June 1 until November 30. During this time and also during the whole year, the fantastic beaches and water invite to swimming, jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, diving, sailing, fishing and much more. There is music in the air on Key West Island. Live Music can be heard almost every day, the Key West Symphony and Island Opera play between Christmas and April. Several theater performances happen throughout the year.
