Topsail Island is a nearly 30-mile-long barrier island located just 25 minutes north of Wilmington and 25 minutes south of Jacksonville. The island is located in two counties and consists of three town areas: North Topsail Beach, Surf City and Topsail Beach. Three mainland towns of Hampstead, Sneads Ferry and Holly Ridge are also included in the Greater Topsail area.
